Position Summary:
The Senior Messaging & Directory Services Engineer administers and maintains the Active Directory, Microsoft Entra and other Messaging Systems. This position provides escalated IT project support to end-users across all practice groups as the cloud-integration expert. The Senior Messaging & Directory Services Engineer works under minimal supervision and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Resolve escalated help desk tickets from local IT per the service level agreement (SLA)
- Maintain the Firmwide Active Directory and integration with Entra ID tenant via Entra Connect
- Monitor and maintain the Firmwide Microsoft Exchange Online (Hybrid) environment
- Troubleshoot, audit, and ensure efficiency of Messaging maintenance tasks
- Plan and administer SSO configuration with vendors via Entra ID
- Assist in resolving resource planning for local offices Firmwide
- Collaborate with InfoSec Team on implementing recommended monitoring & configuration changes
- Partner with stakeholders and project managers to understand and complete various projects
- Develop, document, and cross-train team members on new systems or tasks
- Produce change management requests for system updates and new features
- Plan and execute the monthly maintenance window with local IT support teams


Job Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least five (5) years of related experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
- Knowledge of PowerShell
- Knowledge of Office 365/Entra ID/Azure and supporting Outlook in an Exchange/O365 environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Ability to work independently, under own initiative and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
