What we're seeking:

As a Senior Business Analyst at Frontier Communications, you will be a key member of our Wholesale team, responsible for preparing forecast reports, managing the expense budget, and overseeing the sales compensation plan. You will play a critical role in providing insightful analysis and strategic support to drive business growth and performance. In this in-person role, you will be required to report to our Dallas, TX location to complete your work responsibilities.

What we need in you:
For this Senior Business Analyst role, you will support business forecasting, compensation and budgeting. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, results-driven professional with a deep understanding of financial and industry dynamics.
What you'll do:

  • Wholesale Forecasts and Analysis:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate forecast models for sales, revenue, and other key business metrics. Analyze historical data, market trends, and other business drivers to identify opportunities and risks that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Monitor performance against forecasts, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions, as needed.

  • Expense Budget Management:Develop and manage the Wholesale expense budget, working closely with department heads and finance team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and targets. Track and report on expenditures, analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Provide monthly updates and variance analysis to senior management, highlighting key drivers and risks/opportunities for attaining budget targets.

  • Sales Compensation Plan Management:Partner with sales leadership to define compensation structures, incentive programs, and performance metrics that motivate and incentivize sales teams while aligning with strategic business objectives. Create compensation plan documents that formalize sales performance components, incentive targets, and payout structures. Monitor sales performance results and commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and fairness in the compensation process.

  • Reporting and Communications:Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports and presentations to communicate financial and operational performance, forecast updates, and budgetary status to stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing guidance and recommendations based on data-driven insights and analysis.

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $166,000
  • 20 PTO (Paid Time Off) days + 10 paid holidays per year

What background you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in a senior business analyst role, with a track record of developing accurate forecast models, as well as analyzing and interpreting financial data. Experience with Adaptive financial reporting and budgeting systems is desirable
  • Proven experience in the development and management of sales compensation structures and incentive programs. Experience with the Xactly incentive reporting system is desirable
  • Knowledge of the Wholesale market, competitors, and trends
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formula writing, lookup tables, and graphs
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Results-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding business objectives
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
