If you are a junior to mid-level Human Health or Ecological Risk Assessment Scientist seeking a growth-oriented and diverse environment in which to work, or if you are an Environmental Scientist, Engineer or Statistician with experience in the consulting business wanting to embark on a new Risk Assessment career, then Leidos has a great opportunity waiting for you. Mentoring and training will be provided as you work with our highly experienced Risk Assessment team.
During your journey, you will also be afforded the opportunity to work on many different project-related tasks to round out your overall project knowledge and to develop your awareness of the importance of your risk assessment skills. In so doing, you will work collaboratively with Leidos' multi-faceted staff of Project Managers, Geologists, Engineers, and Scientists of many disciplines from numerous Leidos offices and locations. The continuous development of the Risk Assessment Scientist will be encouraged and supported through establishment of performance goals and opportunities for online, in-house and offsite training and/or professional certifications. Cross-training between the human health and ecological risk assessment disciplines is available.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment, and demonstrate excellent written and strong verbal communication, as well as organizational skills. Frequent and timely communications with the Project Manager and project team members is expected.
The Risk Assessment Scientist will be dedicated to working full-time in support of the preparations of work plans, and investigative and decision documents that will involve report writing, data management and interpretation, and the performance of statistical- and risk-based calculations. We are seeking an individual who is an initiative-focused, goals-oriented self-starter, and is willing to be versatile in accepting a variety of work assignments, while being receptive to mentoring and oversight.

Pay Range:Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
