Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking aProcess Control Automation Technician (PCAT).This position will be located at theFreeport, TXmanufacturing site.

PCAT Essential Job Functions:

  • Work in conjunction with the Process Control Engineer to support continuous improvement efforts.Provide support for project start ups
  • Support and maintain plan process control systems (Delta V, MOD V).Leverage Process Control Most Effective Technology (MET)
  • Support/coach operations personnel on day-to-day process control activities and generate/update programming to support day-to-day operations and improvement projects
  • Perform DCS program loads for the facility. Developand maintain DCS graphics/flowsheets,and provide first level support for DCS hardware
  • Serve as first line of contact to assist operations in troubleshooting control issues anddata historian (Aspen IP-21) system administrator
  • Support data collection integral to Environmental reporting compliance and continually update facility Process Control Strategy
  • Monitor and improve plant metrics including alarm frequency and instruments in manual and maintain up to date code documentation to support life cycle of plant
  • Assist Chlor-Alkali partners with process control needs based on Business needs

PCAT Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's degree* preferred
  • 3+ years control systems experience; programming and chlorine chemical process experience preferred.
  • Experience with MOD V and/or Delta V control systems is preferred
  • Must be comfortable in a plant manufacturing environment and capable of working independently
  • Ability to prioritize and execute several support activities simultaneously
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to provide periodic off-hours support (on-call support)
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and possess a valid US Driver's License
  • Prior Olin experience in a related role preferred
