Job Description

Join our winning team as an Epoxy Process R&D Scientist in Angleton, TX. In your role as an Epoxy Process R&D Scientist, you will assume a technical leader role in Epoxy Process Research with responsibility for working cross-functionally and globally to develop and improve chemical processes.

Epoxy Process R&D Scientist Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead projects related to development of new and improved chemical manufacturing processes
  • Develop fundamental understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Utilize experimentation, analytical methods, modeling, and other tools in support of projects and opportunities
  • Define processes and supporting scale-up from lab to pilot and manufacturing scales
  • Develop effective experimental plans
Epoxy Process R&D Scientist Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field; Master's Degree* or PhD* preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process research, chemical operations, or process design. Experience in process research, process development, scale-up, or epoxy technology preferred
  • A demonstrated record of technical leadership, problem solving, and driving complex projects to success
  • Ability to collaborate globally and cross-functionally on technical projects; communicating effectively regarding technology development plans and outcomes
  • Experience in engineering and modeling tools such as ASPEN, Athena, CFD tools, etc. preferred
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus
