Job Description

As an ORTS Course Facilitator you will:

  • Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness team and provide training expertise.

  • Obtain or maintain your secret clearance

  • Develop, organize and conduct training for Fleet sailors in support of Training and Readiness Center.
  • Conduct traditional classroom instruction and support tactical lab training.

A week in the life of an ORTS Course Facilitator:

  • Supportcurriculum development of the AEGIS MK-99 AEGIS Fire Control System/MK84 400Hz Power Distribution System/Ballistic Missile Defense Technician.
  • Providetraining & assessment of U.S. Navy Aegis Combat Systems Capabilities and Limitations to the officer level.
  • Review and analyze U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System Engineering Capabilities and Limitations and U.S. Navy Operational and Tactical doctrine.
  • Integrate the execution of Doctrine optimizingCombat Systems capabilities and limitation in an operational tactical environment.
  • Conduct assessment of sailors' abilities to comply with approved maintenance and operational procedures.
  • Provide appraisal of performance with recommendations for improvement and methods to maintain technical and tactical proficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guide.
  • Develop, test, maintainand delivermoderately complex Aegis training programs.
  • Establishand reviewcourse content and objectives.
  • Conducttraining sessions and developcriteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Maintainrecords of training activities.
Job Requirements
  • Secret Clearance
  • CIC Watchstation qualification: CSC, AAWC, RSC,MSS, TRASUP.

At least six (6) years of experience in:

  • Required system(s) as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor
  • A training environment

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
