Role Overview:

Teachstone is looking for a Regional Director of Sales who is obsessive about finding new prospective clients and building relationships in order to close contracts in the early childhood space.

A Regional Director is a member of our Sales team who leverages consultative selling best practices to engage with potential clients, understand their unique objectives and challenges, and prepare proposals that address those needs. You will work cross functionally with our Customer Success, Professional Services, Inside Sales, and Policy teams to ensure customer implementations are successful.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You will drive revenue towards attainment of monthly and annual sales quotas
  • You will develop and build relationships with various levels of administrators in the education space
  • You will become an expert Teachstone's products and services, competitors, and the sales positioning of TS's products in the market
  • You will work closely with sales management to prepare territory plans (annually), project sales plans(monthly), and create specific account plans to ensure short and long-term objectives are realized
  • You will understand client needs, challenges, and objectives working closely in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
  • You will develop relationships across multiple individuals within programs and their parent organizations in order to move complex deals forward
  • You will attend select education conferences as appropriate, representing Teachstone, supporting Sales team efforts, and speaking and presenting as requested
  • You will attend conferences, events and meetings, representing Teachstone to support your sales efforts.
  • You will support colleagues in their endeavors where necessary-teamwork and team success is a key component at Teachstone
  • You will be responsible for continuous professional development and utilization of available training resources-classroom, fieldwork, self-study, etc.-to improve skills, gain expertise on Teachstone's products and services, and to keep up with trends in early childhood education

Role Qualifications:

  • Education degree or equivalent and five or more years experience in a consultative sales role in professional services and education sales
  • Proven experience in meeting and exceeding quota
  • The desire to honor and embrace the company's DEI mission
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex relationships and build strong rapport and trust with large-scale clients
  • Knowledge of early childhood educational structures
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time as needed to make connections, build relationships and close opportunities, and to work a flexible schedule to satisfy clients' needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team to design and deliver upon clients needs
  • New business/hunter mindset is a must
  • Located near major airport and within US
  • Must have driver's license and be able to travel
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in giving software product demonstrations

Role Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of best practices in child and teacher development
  • Deep understanding of federal, state, and local funding sources and grant programs available to support staff development programs
  • Familiarity with the Classroom Assessment Scoring System and other Teachstone products
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM software a plus
