Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for creating/executing project plans, managing deliverables, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered to schedule and within budget. The role creates value by providing transparency and solutions for project risks, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement. This is done by thoroughly understanding the content as well as the plan, and engaging Phlow experts and decision makers however needed.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Initiate, direct, and lead team meetings, prepare reports, maintain project schedules and plans, and drive operational readiness to ensure project deliverables are completed according to desired timelines
  • Assisting in the tracking of project specific budgets
  • Creating and coordinating project schedules and maintaining the process for regular reviews and updates
  • Conduct risk management and scenario planning as well as developing contingency and/or risk mitigation plans.
  • Tracking and reporting on project milestones and providing status reports to stakeholders; highlighting action items.
  • Proactively identifying, communicating, and/or troubleshooting any issues or problems throughout the project life cycle
  • Assisting in the continuous evaluation and improvement of project management execution
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+years of relevant professional experience within life sciences industry
  • Strong working knowledge of project management requirements and familiarity with technical and business requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug development or APIs.
  • Experience interacting and communicating with U.S. Government Contracting Officers
  • Knowledge and familiarity with HHS and DOD procurement nuances, proposal development, and project management
  • Experience managing projects/understanding of project management principles
  • Fluency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SharePoint or similar document management systems
  • Demonstrated success as a Project Manager across a variety of disciplines

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline relevant to the life sciences industry
  • PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly required to see to utilize computer screens and monitors to perform job duties including reading & writing, as well as when presenting information and communicating with others.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear to communicate with employees, candidates, vendors, and others, including presenting information in front of groups.
  • Frequently required to reach with arms and hands performing repetitive motions and using finger dexterity to work primarily at a computer keyboard and with a mouse.
  • Frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to stand or walk to move around primarily in an office environment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • This position may require up to 5% travel with occasional increase in travel demands based on business needs
