MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state/multi state
2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Three (3) years of nursing experience.

1. Review ER monitors through the EPIC electronic medical record system to identify patients at high risk for sepsis.
2. Communicate findings promptly to the ER team and facilitate the implementation of sepsis protocols.
3. Collaborate with the ER team to ensure appropriate tests, interventions, and follow-ups are conducted for high-risk patients.
4. Conduct thorough follow-up assessments to monitor patient progress and ensure adherence to sepsis management plans.
5. Serve as a resource and provide education to healthcare staff on sepsis identification, assessment, and management.
6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to sepsis care and outcomes.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
8. Place protocol orders at the direction of the primary physician

2. Will be available for incoming calls and other tasks 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
