Job Summary

Sentara Medical Group has an opening for a Physician Assistant to work in concert with our orthopedic team in Harrisonburg, Virginia. We are interested in a Physician Assistant (PA) who is driven by quality healthcare, the delivery of compassionate patient care, and the ability to create a great patient experience. Highlights of this position include:

*Join a well-functioning Orthopedic team consisting of: total joint, sports medicine surgeons, upper extremity surgeon, hand surgeon, spine surgeon, plus non-operative sports physicians, non-operative spine physician, non-operative hand, and 6 Physician Assistants
*Well-appointed office space on hospital campus
*See new patients, follow-ups, and post-op patients
*Broad range of surgical cases
*Strong built-in referral base
*Call from home; 1:7 (phone only)
*Weekly schedule of 2 day in OR setting; 3 days in clinic (8a-5p)
*Digital x-ray and PACS at the practice; MRI on hospital campus
*Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Rehab Services available

Come to this beautiful Shenandoah Valley community, nicknamed "The Friendly City," surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain ranges and outdoor recreation in Virginia. The area is known for its cutting-edge arts and culture, multiple Colleges and Universities, historical attractions, and farm to table dining opportunities. Located two hours from Washington, DC and minutes from George Washington National Forest and Shenandoah National Park, the area offers year-round cultural and recreational opportunities.

As an integral member of the practice, the PA will assist in the clinic and the operative suite. Preference will be given to applicants eligible for inpatient privileges by training and post-training experience, first surgical assist certification, and orthopedic experience. Qualifications:

MLD - Master's Level Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Required), MLD - Master's Level Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Required)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Other/National, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Other/National, Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - North Carolina, Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Other/National, Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Virginia, Physician Assistant License (PA) - North Carolina, Physician Assistant License (PA) - Other/National, Physician Assistant License (PA) - Virginia
