The role of the Subject Matter Expert I is to provide specific Navy Information Warfare Center (NIWC) technical support for various projects within the Chesapeake Ops environment.Includes: communication systems (radios), networking systems (routers/switches), cyber operations (red team/forensics/network defense), intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (sensors/decision support applications), business systems (benefits/personnel) and information security.

• Provides support for communication systems (radios), networking systems (routers/switches), cyber operations (red team/forensics/network defense), intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (sensors/decision support applications), business systems (benefits/personnel) and information security.
• Provides day-to-day In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support to NIWC and other activities on multiple projects
• Provides support to Fleet activities
• Works with customer in primarily a solitary environment
• Performs related work as assigned in an unsupervised, reactive/mission critical environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within 12 months of hire date
• Eight (8) years' technical experience in military, contracting, or commercial areas
• Must have electronic systems troubleshooting and repair experience
• Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Must be able to provide driving record upon request
