Our Roanoke office is currently seeking registered Project Architects; 10+ years' experience working on large scale projects is preferred. Experience should include commercial, institutional and residential projects encompassing health care, assisted living, higher education, and/or multi-family. Renovation experience would be a plus. Successful candidate will possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture. Candidate should possess knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of schematic design through construction drawings with the ability and understanding of three-dimensional forms and models. The position requires performance of all aspects of architecture as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:
The Project Architect's responsibility is to work collaboratively with Project Designers, interpret the conceptual and schematic designs, conduct a thorough code analysis, work with the other team disciplines to develop building details, specifications, and full architectural construction documents. During construction, the Project Architect will have responsibility for answering RFI's, reviewing shop drawings and conducting periodic site visits.
