Description

As the Manufacturing Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects related 

to our manufacturing and lab operations. This includes budgeting, forecasting, development of product costing, financial 

analysis, and strategic financial planning to ensure financial objectives align with the overall goals of the company. You 

will collaborate closely with the broader finance team (CFO, Controller, VP of FP&A) and cross-functional teams 

(Commercial, Operations & Government Initiatives), providing valuable insights and recommendations to drive 

efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and profitability.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures in our facilities (lab, manufacturing,

and warehouse) and with third parties.

• Lead the annual financial planning / budgeting process for the manufacturing and lab operations, including 

forecasting and variance analysis.

• Develop a robust product costing process (manufactured and sourced) and work with finance and commercial

teams on facility / customer / product analysis.

• Act as the main finance point of contact with our operational partner.

• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue 

enhancement.

• Collaborate with plant operations teams to optimize financial performance and ensure adherence to budgetary 

guidelines.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact financial 

performance.


Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

• 10-15 years’ experience with 5-10 year of proven experience in financial management in a plant or 

manufacturing environment within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Operational experience with ERP systems and financial software


Physical Requirements

• Constantly required to see to utilize computer screens and monitors to perform job duties including reading & 

writing, as well as when presenting information and communicating with others.

• Frequently required to talk or hear to communicate with employees, candidates, vendors, and others, including 

presenting information in front of groups.

• Frequently required to reach with arms and hands performing repetitive motions and using finger dexterity to 

work primarily at a computer keyboard and with a mouse.

• Frequently required to sit, and frequently required to stand or walk to move around primarily in an office 

environment 

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
