Essential Functions:
· Diagnosis and corrects difficult problems promptly
· Works from complicated drawings, sketches, and samples or where information is incomplete
· Lays out, constructs, modifies, and maintains a wide variety of machinery
· Dismantles, assembles, and maintains intricate specialized equipment
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Demonstrated problem-solving skills
· Good manual dexterity
· Working knowledge of computers preferred
· Must be flexible to move/perform in a variety of assignments
· Operates material handling equipment, such as dollies, powered pump trucks, towmotors, overhead cranes and hoists as needed
· Adheres to all safety policies
· Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary
· Uses Maintenance Shop information to retrieve product specifications as needed
· Performs job in accordance with regulatory requirements
· Effectively uses computerized Information Center to retrieve product/process information
· Provides written suggestions for continuous improvement and leads/participates in their implementation
· Assists with training of others
· Strict compliance to FDA and ISO control standards and record keeping
· Maintains safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with 5 S principles
· Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
· Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications:
· High School graduate or equivalent
· Journeyman Industrial Electrician preferred
· Will be required to pass Maintenance Electrical Qualification Test
· Prior experience with electrical wiring systems, electrical equipment, piping systems and related equipment for steam, air, water and chemical lines
· Basic math skills
· Basic computer skills
· Ability to lift 50 lbs
· Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
· Bending, twisting and/or squatting may be required
· Demonstrated flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in all areas as needed
· Demonstrated ability to understand and follow work instructions
· Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
· Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
· Ability to be cross-trained
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledge of quality standards to apply visual inspection
· Knowledge of proper problem-solving skills
· Ability to communicate basic information regarding processes and quality related questions
· Proficient in Rockwell Automation software
· Must be able to diagnose electrical control problems and edit PLC programs
· Prior experience with Laser cutting equipment
· Basic understanding of network systems Devicenet, Controlnet, and Ethernet systems
· Experience with variable frequency drives
· Understanding of complicated electrical control systems
· Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of air supply system for plant operations
· Must have knowledge of location and distribution of plant power systems of 600 volts or more
· Must be able to distinguish between electrical and hydraulic difficulties
· Must have full knowledge of safety procedures, such as confined space, welding safety, electrical safety, ARC Flash standards, etc.
· Blueprint reading skills
· Must have thorough understanding of quality systems and their relationship to job performance including ISO Overview, corrective/preventative actions and work instructions
· Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job
