Job/Internship Description

Are you interested in developing your communications, marketing and analytical skills? Does the ability to work on a variety of communications and engagement projects while demonstrating your own initiative and creativity excite you? Do you have excellent spoken, written and visualization skills which you can apply to online, print and social media?

RG is offering paid full-time internships for Summer 2021 at our headquarters in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Interns will work under the direction of the head of marketing and alongside company executives and business unit directors to develop and execute effective and compelling communications, marketing, and engagement campaigns to promote RG's brand.

A Day In the Life

An intern will be expected to:

  • Capture and write blogs, vlogs, case studies, white papers, infographics and other collateral to support RG's thought leadership and brand
  • Assist in designing and testing effective campaigns to promote thought leadership and the company brand to target audiences in Federal government and commercial sector
  • Participate in communications and public engagement activities, including events and webcasts
  • Provide support to key proposals and other business development activities if required
  • Manage and publish material on the company's Hubspot, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts.
  • Understand and create content around our core capabilities: Agile Methodology, Enterprise Delivery, Systems Modernization and Managed Services

Strong candidates will be able to demonstrate critical thinking, effectively articulate their perspective, and show a history of self-motivation in working collaboratively toward common goals.

Successful candidates will receive appropriate training as needed to best contribute to the fullest of their ability. High-performing candidates may also find themselves eligible for, or be invited to apply to, RG's graduate development program or continuing as paid part-time contributors.

Required Skills

The Internship candidate is a non-exempt resource who must be self-motivated, disciplined, flexible, and able to engage a wide range of people. Their skills must include good listening, oral and written communication, and time management skills. Attention to detail, the ability to complete tasks without constant supervision, and good organizational skills are a must.

Required Experience

To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.

  • Must be currently enrolled at a university
  • Must have completed at least 60 credits
  • Must have been on the Dean's list the last two semesters
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite and social media

Bring the WOW Factor

  • Familiarity with Hubspot
  • Ability to show previous written material (blogs, presentations, etc.)
  • Ability to interface with individual contributors through SME and executive level employees
  • Knowledge of software development and or Agile methodology
